Inspiring Others

One of our work locations had apple trees. So we excitedly brought some back to the trailer where I just happen to have a head of Butter Lettuce. It's always a thrill to have live, fresh-picked food.
So I made my co-workers a salad. 

Later in the day when we were talking about food, one of the girls said "I hate grocery shopping!!" I responded that I can understand, especially when the produce is in Big Ugly Bulky Packaging, where it's hard to see the Pretty, Fresh Grown, Colorful fruits and veggies. She then inquired where she should shop and if the food would be inexpensive...

Creativity at Work

SET SNACK
Being back to work... means having to completely re-train myself how to eat! I don't have the same food on set as I do at home. No garden, no spice cupboard, no ability to COOK!
Which just means I have to be even more creative! 
Today's Set Snack was:
Cucumbers 
Fresh tomatoes
Goat cheese
Sesame seeds
All on top of tamari black rice crackers
    Long hours, long days.... hello fresh tasty ideas :-)

Mind over Matter

This season I'm determined to find ways to have real food, that's both nutritious and tantalizing to my taste buds.....so I'm not nibbling on junk food to keep the brain awake at 3 in the morning after 14 hours of work.

Our 3rd day of work, we were in some swampy dusty area with a lot of bugs. (My show "The Finder" is supposed to be in Miami.)
Hurrying to the set, I gathered my bag and threw in an avocado, a lime, and some flatbread crackers...
